What SSH client do you use? I use "Tunnelier" It's great it has something called SFTP that runs through SSH as well as the normal SSH command window and it's free!

On what os? On linux, I just use openssh (ssh) which is pretty standard.
On Windows, putty is good.

I use Putty on Windows for terminal logins and WinSCP for file transfer. Sometimes I also make use of OpenSSH for Windows instead of WinSCP if I just need to transfer a single file over SCP.

SecureCRT for me :) I'd die without my Zmodem transfer!
Putty is really good. I just wish it did Zmodem transfers. I still use it once in a while.

I use putty, it's simple and very easy to use. I think im going to give OPENSSH a try.
Hi, Putty seems to be the best ssh client for windows. The auto-copy feature and good scrollback buffer make it a good choice. For Linux, the Gnome terminal is great because it supports tabbed sessions. This way, you can have 5 ssh sessions open without having 5 windows open (putty). If anyone knows a windows ssh client that supports such tabs (like firefox), please let me know.

For us it is really easy to use and when you need to run something from command line it works just fine.
Also we do use the sftp client a lot, and it is really user friendly.

Hey Rick, SecureCRT supports tabs. There's a screenshot of tabs being used on this page: http://www.vandyke.com/products/securecrt/ The only downside is it costs $99.
Thanks for the link, its exactly what I was looking for. I think I will pick it up.

Pytty on windows and Konsole or Gnome Terminal on linux(both of them allows display multiply sessions in tabs).

I use OpenSSH under Linux.
Under Windows I use SSH Secure Shell for Workstations by SSH Communications Security.

I like the GUI, drag and drop SFTP, etc. Free for non-commercial and educational use.

I use OpenSSH in both, windows and linux. In Linux, it's obvious, just from the shell (I use konsole+screen) . In Windows, I have cygwin setup with openssh and X11, so, just like in Linux

I find Putty the best SSH client! It is easy to use and verry simple, the program is verry small so you can take it away with you.
More information can be find on their website:

I once use a program that can scp a file by just dropping a file into the ssh connection windows.
Anyone know which is that?
This is on windows.
putty is the only one I know for ssh and I filezilla for sftp.

Hello All :)
This is my first post. The idea of giving 25% off for making 25 posts is great. Hats of to RapidVPS
Now regarding the SSH client ...
I would love to use linux as my desktop, but in my office I have only the option of windows XP. So I am using putty. It is quit cool.

I have to agree about WinSCP....just awesome...allows editing quickly with a right click or hitting F4. Also, if you install PuTTY also, you can bring up a terminal window shell which signs you on automatically by hitting ^P. WinSCP first, then PuTTY, instead of PuTTY then WinSCP.
For Linux to Linux though, SSH rocks.

Putty and WinSCP.
The only trouble with Putty is that as far as I can see you can't copy and paste into the command line. Maybe that is possible with other clients.

Putty user here.
You can copy by highlighting text on putty, and to paste pushing right mouse button is enough. ;)

Putty and WinSCP :)
I have top -d 01.00 running on my second monitor 24/7.
This allows me to monitor traffic, system crashes, or process hoggers.
