Ok here it is I am running a rapid 2 account. Hosting about 5 low traffic personal domains, with email (procmail+dovecot+SpamAssassin+MailScanner+clamd) http(apache) mysql, drupal, bind (for dns), mynetwatchman client for intrusion reporting, fail2ban for protection, iptablesfw, . I am keeping it right above 200meg ram at current.
Would there be any realizable benefit to changing to Lxadmin considering I dont mind working in a shell?

If you're happy with Shell, and end-users don't need to control their account (as in add mail accounts etc), then no.
I personally use it on nearly all my VPS'es. I'm (only just) powering the entire etomite website on two of the cheapest VPS'es here (one for www and one for mysql). We have high bandwidth and spec requirements for a single site.

Is lxadmin an intrusive installation? I know most control panels I have tried don't like it at all if you are already running things and pretty much require a freshly installed OS to function properly. Since i got tired of reinstalling on my test box, i have given up searching out open source control panels but if anyone knows any that let you actually control your server instead of taking over your server i'd be interested to know about it.
On a side note, the lxlabs website wont load for me, so I can't look at that.
And to second Dean, if you are ok with using the shell, and are not hosting many domains, in my experience control panels are more trouble than they are worth. They don't do anything that you cannot do yourself.

Second that. I'm rather annoyed with cPanel's inflexibility right now.
